for Highly Intelligent, Sensitive, and Divergent Individuals
What is Attuned Therapy?
Attuned Therapy is a New York City-based telemental health private practice dedicated to providing personalized, client-centered psychotherapy that meets your unique needs.
I specialize in helping high-achieving women heal from binge eating disorder, emotional eating, and body image struggles by fostering a compassionate and sustainable approach to food and self-acceptance.
I also provide informed and affirming care for neurodivergent individuals (Autism, ADHD, gifted, and highly sensitive people) in developing emotional regulation skills and navigating a world that often feels overwhelming.
Additionally, I offer affirmative, specialized care for those in polyamorous (Poly) and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, as well as kink-aware and sex work-informed therapy to ensure a nonjudgmental, supportive space.
No matter who you, come as you are. You belong here.
Why Attuned Therapy?
Attuned Therapy was born out of my own frustrations throughout my life, personally and professionally, of feeling not only misunderstood, but misattuned to by a variety of people, places and things.
Have you ever felt like therapists, peers, colleagues, or loved ones struggled to provide useful insights to your problems? Have you ever felt like you were the go-to “ideas and support person” for everyone else in your life, but that they couldn’t offer the same level of attuned support back to you? Have you ever felt consistently frustrated with other people and systems for the inefficient ways they seem to work, but felt alone in your awareness? If any of this resonates with you, you may have a form of neurodivergence that has gifted you with higher perceptivity.
Higher perceptivity may sound like a good thing, but is it so great to see more, when everyone else around you sees less? Individuals like this can suffer from a pervasive agitation with others, the world, and even themselves. It can feel like nothing or no one can ever see what’s really going on or get it right, whether it is a team project at work, or a romantic partner who claims to be trying their best. Neurodivergence of many forms can leave an individual feeling emotionally dysregulated, lonely, depressed, or even suicidal as they struggle to conform and fight an internal battle to be authentic or to suppress their talents.
As a highly perceptive adult myself, not being able to find a therapist who could provide treatment that actually helped me was stunningly illuminating. It led me to bring a deep curiosity into my own neurodivergence and why it felt so difficult to get the kind of support I long sought, in which I’d not only feel truly seen and understood, but where they could also offer something to me that I hadn’t already considered.
In so much, it is my personal life mission to provide what I call, Attuned Therapy to fellow highly curious, sensitive, or divergent thinkers, feelers, and people. You do not need to feel hopeless about finding a therapist who can offer something of value to your intellectual and unique mind. If you think outside of the box when it comes to life rules or values, or just feel everything more deeply, Attuned Therapy is here to help.
